On April 22, 2022,
Duluth Fine Arts League (DFAL) awarded the Lucile Walker Art Scholarship to Duluth High School (DHS) student, Hermes Mejia-Holguin.

Hermes plays the violin and plans on studying music at Columbus State University.

This scholarship was named after longtime DFAL board member and scholarship committee member Lucile Walker to honor her continued commitment to helping local high school students achieve their dreams.
